2021 Association of Mid-Atlantic Aquatic Biologists Workshop
Virtual Meeting

March 31 – April 1, 2021

2021 Meeting Dates and Letter from the President

The upcoming meeting and workshop for the Association of Mid-Atlantic Aquatic Biologists (AMAAB) will be held on March 31 – April 1, 2021. Due to the continued pandemic, the 2021 AMAAB Conference and Workshop will be completely free and virtual this year!

On Wednesday and Thursday, March 31 – April 1, there will be a half day of oral presentations and speed talks. In lieu of a poster session, we will be offering speed talks, in which participants have 5 minutes to briefly talk about their research and outcomes. Attendees are encouraged to share their research as either an oral presentation or speed talk. This provides an ideal venue to share your research and results with regional biologists, familiarize yourself with other projects in the Mid-Atlantic, and engage with other colleagues in friendly conversation.

Workshops, which will be held on Thursday, enable participants to learn a new skill or to enhance their knowledge about a variety of relevant topics. All workshops are instructed by experts on the various topics. This year, several of the workshops that will be available to AMAAB attendees include: Karst Geology and Morphology, StreamStats: Streamflow Statistics and Spatial Analysis Tools for Water-Resources Applications, and Identification of Aquatic Crane Fly Larvae.

On behalf of the AMAAB Board, we are looking forward to “seeing” you this spring!

Best Regards,

Christopher Main

2021 AMAAB President
